Shabby Princess

Tuesday again?? Wow time does fly when you are having fun! Well it is time for a new challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday; this week we don't have a tutorial but each DT member will be giving their take on what Shabby Chic means to us. To me I think of Pink and Blue with loads of white. It is a clean look with a touch of romance given by florals. So I have taken my inspiration from the following picture.
And here is my card; loads of white paint, embelishments of all sorts and lots of pink and blue:0)
Here is a closeup of Princess Shona from Digital Delights. She is so cute and it was fun to color her up; Love all that hair:0) Thanks DD for letting us play with this super cute image!

I have made this card following the Simon Says Stamp sketch; really hope you can see it; as I ended up with ambelishments galore!
I will als be entering this card in the following challenges:

Lia Stampz-Birthday
My Craft Spot -Sewing, Stitching, Faux stitching
Crafty Pad -Distressing and Tearing

Tilda School Tag

Hello today I would like to share an altered item that I have been saving for a long long time. I bought a pair of Bubblegum jeans oh....about 5 years ago! Yeah I know....long time! Well it came with this really cute thick tag; I knew one day it would come in handy. So TOMIC has a challenge to recycle an item and I have chosen this. Here is a picture of the tag before:
And this is how I have dressed it up! The tag is already pretty so I kept it very simple with just a few embellishments. This tag would be perfect for a little girls backpack; on the other side I will be putting a letter for whomever I decide this will go to.
I will be entering this project in the following challenges:
TOMIC- Recycle
Allsorts -#118 Back to School
Totally Gorjuss-  #95 As you like it
Totally Papercrafts - back to school
Just Magnolia - Bingo (Gems, Flowers, Ribbon)

Good Luck; Lost in Music...

I would like to share this card that I have made following the sketch for the Sugar Bowl. I have made it especially for the Header challenge on the Simply Sassy blog. I just love these Sassies and it would be oh so cool to be displayed on the header and sidebar of their blog; so wish me luck:0)
Here is a picture of the inside top panel, the bottom one has a matching one without the sentiment. The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps.
Here is a clean picture of Lost In Music....ain't she just so adorable??? I just love her. This is another of the stamps that I won from the Simply Sassy blog hop a while back. I am determined to ink them all up and use them....so two down four to go!

I have colored her with Copics following Elaine's sample as a guide; really hope that you can see the resemblance. I am a huge fan of Elaine!

PMS NEW Challenge and DT Call!

Yep, you heard right! As you may already know, Paper Makeup Stamps offers a wonderful selection of digital images! For the past few months, and going forward, all new releases are available in the digital format. So we thought it would be fun to have a weekly challenge just using the digital images. The digital format offers so many options that are not available to users in the rubber format.

We thought it would be fun to have a weekly challenge dedicated just to digi-images. It will be the Digi Makeover Challenge! We hope to offer some ideas and occasional tutorial to help you use digi-stamps to their full potential. And, of course, there will be prizes!

The challenges will be every Monday, starting in September. So bookmark us and come back on Sept 5th for the first challenge!
Needless to say, we need a Design Team! Interested in being a Digi Makeup Artist? Here's the scoop...

•DT members will serve for a 6 month term.
•Create a card or project using a PMS digi image for each challenge
•You must have a blog
•Challenges are every Monday, so challenge photos must be uploaded to the digimakeover Yahoo group by Saturday night.
•You will be expected to comment on challenge entries.
•If you are able to provide tutorials, that's fantastic, but it is not a requirement, but sure is a plus!
•You will have access to all digital images from Paper Makeup Stamps to complete your challenges.
•Your name will be listed on the PMS blogs as a Digi Makeup Artist!
•You will have a DT button to display on your blog
•You will be part of a fun team that loves Paper Makeup Stamps and loves to use digi images!

So....how do you get your name in the hat? Just create something using one of the free digi stamps provided here - it doesn't have to be a card, it can be any crafty creation. Post it to your blog, and let us know why you love using digital images. Be sure to mention that your post is for the Digi Makeover Challenge DT call. Then use Mr. Linky here to link up that blog post so we can see it!! We'll announce the new team on Friday, September 2nd on the PMS blog!

You Rock my WORLD Eye-Pod

Had such a blast making this card! It is not over accessorized since I wanted the DP to show and is intended for my Hubby. He is always listening to music on his iPhone....so this image is perfect for him. The image is Eye-Pod from Paper Makeup Stamps. I didn't think I would like him as much as I do now. He is so easy to color and I just love that big EYE!
I am following the sketch from Party Time Tuesday...and guess who is sponsoring this week? Yup PMS! So play along for a chance to win:0)

Here is a closeup of this monster...love that silly grin on his face! Kind of reminds me of my husband when he first got his phone and didn't really know how to use it. Hehehe:0)
OH also today is TUESDAY and that means there is a new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday; I don't have  a card this week; but there is a FAB tutorial on how to do the Center Step Card by Maggie! This weeks challenge is Thank You; hope you join us this week:0)

Pregnant Tilda

Hello Again; this is my second post today. This time I would like to share one of my creations. A couple of days ago I received this cute Pregnant Tilda stamp. I won her on Bev's blog from Simon Says Saturday Surprise. She has a surprise each Saturday and I was lucky enough to win it. As soon as I got it; she was inked up! You can find her HERE. My oldest sister is pregnant so thought I would make a card for her! Since we do not know what she is having I have decided to do this card in White on White; with a tint of purple since it is her fave color:0)
All right so here are a few new things I have tried: I used a Prismacolor pencil to do some shading on my Copic colored Tilda; I think I will be doing it more often now! Also I have done my flowers out of felt using my Tim Holtz flower die; love it!

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Pink Ink Sketch: Sketch
TOMIC: Monochromatic
A Gem of a Challenge -  #27 white on white

He's a Natural!

All right so I will make this post short and sweet; I hope! I would like to share a card that my son Franco has done. It is for his dear cousin Alex and his momma Marisol.

Franco is such a natural crafter; he asked to glue down only the corners of his image so that you could lift it up and take a look at the heart he drew for Marisol. Such a clever little boy; so I suggested he used brads instead....now he is in LOVE with the brads...you will see what I mean when I show his current creation.

I think I will start to gather a crafting box that he can mess with on his own(instead of using Mommy's Markers and scissors).

I will be entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Summer Holiday Children Challenge; Anything goes!

PMS Summer Love

Hello All; Today I would like to share this card I have made using one of my favorite Summer quotes. You can find this one as a freebie on PMS blog. I gave my quote the burnish velvet treatment with Ritz Glitter; oh it is so sparkly in real life! Then cut it out with my nesties. All right so I am so addicted to using my Copics on ribbon...I saw this tutorial on Make it Monday from PTI...and now I cannot stop doing it! LOVE IT! I think I will need to buy a bunch of neutral ribbon so that I don't run out. It is so much easier than going through my ribbon stash and trying to match the colors. I will be entering this card in the challenge too.
Another thing that I have really been liking is using charms in my cards I think I have used one in my last 4 cards. Here I have used a puffy heart...so cute!
I would also like to enter this card in the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge: Color Embelishment; this card will be going out to my BFF!

So don't forget to hop on over to the PMS blog and snatch this freebie up!

Hugs;
Janette

WOW! Feliz Navidad Edwin

Today I would like to share my first WOW card; that is White On White. I basically got every whit embellishment that I had and put it on this card..he he he. I did not have any white DP so I have gone the easy route and embossed some of my PTI cardstock. I have layered all of my pieces onto vellum and given them a small tint on the edges with Weathered Wood DI.

For my scene I have used my clubkit Fall 2010. I have done this scene by masking off my images; I tell ya; I am not very fond of the masking; I think I prefer mounting my images on pop dots. But I do see how this is good for when you want to keep your card a bit more flat. Also I have added very pale lines to my ribbon with my Copics(very hard to see in picture) I just wanted to give my card a little extra depth. I have also tucked in a circle sentiment done by Marion; she has so generously made this and other Spanish sentiments....FOR FREE. Thanks Sweets! Check out her blog; she has other FAB freebies in English too. So here is my card....
Here I was trying to capture the real nice shimmer that I got from spraying the entire card with Tattered Angels mist in Pearl. You can also see I have added one of the crochet flowers my grandma Paulita has done for me. I think it will be very hard to give this card away....
I will be entering my card in the following challenges for they have inspired me to do this card:
TOMIC:Masking
PTI Make it Monday: Custom Copic Ribbon
Totally Tilda: Pearls, Swirls, Ribbon, Lace
Simon Says Stamp: All White
DUSU?: Embossing

Til next time!

Sassy Lady!

Okay so I will start by telling you that I finally dusted off my Prismas; seriously since buying Copics hadn't used these! But since I had Natalia(8 year old new crafting buddy) visiting on Sunday and she wanted to use color pencils instead of markers; I decided to color this Sassy up. Here is a closeup of her. I think it turned out okay; I do hate how the wax from the pencils make the stamped lines dull.
Oh I just love this Sassy Lady "Strike a Pose"...LOVE HER! Finally got around to color her, I won her from the Simply Sassy blog hop; there was a mix up and instead of getting the Christmas release I got the new release...but I aint mad! I love the Sassies and these are super cute. Here is my card; again using K&Co papers; oh so pretty! I have colored my ribbon with my Copics; couldn't leave them hanging now could I? You can see a tutorial on PTI on how to do this HERE. I have kept my card fairly simple since I want the papers to show and also my image to really stand out. The sentiment is from Whimsy.
Here you can take a peek at the inside of the card.
I would like to enter this card in the following Challenges:
Sugar Bowl- #64 Sketch (didn't post in time; but still used the sketch)
PTI-Make It Monday #27: Custom Copic Striped Ribbon (Always use PTI Stampers Select!!)
Color Me Creative: Color Embellishment-Friendship
Make it Colorful: #29- Color with Pink

Thanks for taking a peek; see ya soon!

Hugs;
Janette

Crafting Buddy!

Hello All! Today I would like to share a card that my Crafting Buddy Natalia has made. She was over at my house on Sunday and wanted to make a card. First I gave her to pick one of my pre-stamped images that I keep handy. She chose  Melinda Blowing Kisses by Wiff of Joy. She then chose to color with color pencils instead of my Copics; fine with me! Once her coloring was complete she looked through my cards and then asked me for those embellishments. I think she did a really good job...oh by the way Natalia is 7 or 8 years old!(forgot to ask her) So here is her card; I will be entering it in the Simon Says Summer Holiday Children's Challenge. I am so proud of Natalia; she did so well; she even did the border on her own! Oh I did help with the bow, and with some cutting but everything was her choice! Just look at the highlight she has done on the pants...awesome HUH! Well I hope she comes back and we can do more crafting. FYI Natalia is my husbands cousins daughter...what a mouth full; we will call her my niece:0)

Natalia's baby sister also wanted in on the fun so I had her color a stamped image that I had done for my kids on regular cardstock. She is such a cutie; she wanted to do everything like her big Sister!
I will be back later on with a card that I have done using my Prismas!

This week Challenge is 'Straight Edges'; easy!  There is also an awesome tutorial done by Katrina on an Easel Box Card.

Today I have used Birdie's Nest from Robyn's Fetish for my card. This image was really fun to color with my Copics; super easy and fast to color. I have kept my card very simple; adding stitching on each panel to add a little extra. I have added a charm to my card; with some jumprings. I was having such a hard time with my ribbon bows, I had seen a video tutorial about making them on Bev's blog after reviewing the video feel that it is much better. Thanks Bev! Geeze where does time go? Already August; before we know it; it will be mid-month and in a blink of an eye Christmas! I will warn you this post is picture heavy; so I will let them do most of the talking:0) You can check out a tutorial HERE on how to make this type of window in your card. My sentiment is from Marion you can find it as a freebie Here (also available in English).
Here is a different view of the flower bunch; WHY do I fool myself into thinking that I can just add one flower??? I start with one; then add a few more; and before I know it the flowers have taken over the card!

Here is a closeup of Under the Mistletoe Fairies you can find it HERE! They have been colored with Copics on my very fave Stampers Select cardstock from PTI.

Kids Cards

Hello; today I would like to share my kids Franco and Gavino's creations. They both have made a Christmas card. Okay so I have helped Gavino(3)  since he gave up on the coloring...but I think I should have let Franco(4) help him instead....LOL!

So here is Gavino's card:
And here is Franco's card: He explained that his face is brown because he was running and got it full of mud :) Oh and the blobs are actually glitter glue.
They each chose how they wanted their snow man and what accessories to add. At the end I think they just copied off of each other; but don't we all....

I will be entering his card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: SUMMER HOLIDAYS CHILDREN'S CHALLENGE; ANYTHING GOES
This was a fun thing to do; first time for us; Thanks SSS for the idea:0)
