Nellie Christmas

Super quick post tonight before going to bed:0)

I made this card; actually worked on it for two week here and there always finding something extra to add. I colored the image about 2-3 weeks ago and just had an idea in my head on what I wanted to do. So here is my card:
Swirls and sentiment are from PMS, Sugar Nellie image I won from Elaine blog! The swirl is a die from Tim Holts, flower and ribbon is from WOC(also won these items on a blog hop long time ago!), papers are My Minds Eye.
Here you can have a better look at the detail on the acetate. And on the following you get a closer look at the image colored with Copics.
I was trying to follow the theme on Sugar Bowl on a CAS card; but as you may have noticed....didn't quite achieve it:0)
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Sugar Bowl- Sketch
Catered Crop- Recipe: pink/burgundy, green, Christmas, markers, polka dots, die cuts, Fun Flock, jingle bells, glitter.
Dream Valley Challenges - Anything Goes
Card Makin' Mamas - die cuts
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Hope you all had an awesome and safe Halloween!

Trick or Treat; Smell my FEET!

Hello ALL! Tis Tuesday and that means it is time for a new challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday. This week it is tipper week so everyone is sharing a tip and we are inviting you to also share your tips with us. I truly enjoy reading everyones tips and learning from one another is just FAB! So remember to add TIP after your name when linking so that you can be in the run for the tipper prize.

This weeks challenge is TRICK or TREAT
 Sponsoring us this week:
Di's Digi Downloads
5 Digis
Please snag either blinkie
Stash Books
Treat of a Book!

For this week I have decided to not make a card but instead work with a TREAT.
We are doing a Halloween party this Friday and I thought it would be nice to make little treat boxes for each kid. Here is the first small lot; I plan on making at least 20.
Here is a closer look; I have put stickers from Hallmark on the plastic bag that has candy corn on the inside and tied it with bakers twine. Then I have used wired ribbon to hold the box together and instead of tying into a bow I have curled the ribbon. Next added the tag/bingo I got as a freebies from ArtiCrafts by Rebecca. The papers are from Fancy Pants Designs 6x6 pack. I am determined to use all of the stack up so that I can buy more next year...great way to look ahead and justify future spending:0) I also added a cutout embellishment from a scrapbooking kit. A few pearls and bling and a black button finish it off. These came together quite quickly and will be finishing up the rest as soon as I get more candy.
Here is a side view of the triangle box. I have cut the paper down to 5x6 so that it leaves some room on the top for the bag to poke out. Now if you have not seen how to make these type of boxes you can take a look HERE. I have changed my measurements to fit my needs. Also my TIP is instead of marking my paper with pencil I have just made small marks with my score tool. Then used those marks to make my future scores. To make my marks easier to find I flip my paper over and score on the blank side of my paper.

I would like to enter this project in the following challenges:
Catered Crop- Recipe:buttons, pearls, ribbon, twine, fall colors, make us laugh

I will be getting my stamps soon; and it is a surprise so I am excited. :0)

Here is a closer look on the image that I have colored with Copics. Now I will tell you that I saw that sunset from SemSee's Sparkly Scribblings blog  and just had to try it. Then I won the stamp and it was just done deal:0) I have used Simone Clay's coloring for inspiration; you can check out her card HERE.

Silver Haired Witch

Today I would like to share this card that I made just for fun! I have just bought a little lap and now I can color and be in the same room as my hubby and kids. I'm thinking this will allow me to get more cards done since coloring is what takes the longest for me. So here is my card:
I have used the sketch over at the Sugar Bowl and incorporated some of the green from the inspirational photo. I have also added some stitching to join the Saturated Canary Challenge. I missed the first challenge and I really hope to be joining many more in the future; I just LOVE Krista's work:0)
Here is a closeup of Witches Cauldron from Simply Sassy I have given this little witch silver hair using my Copics. Aint she just a cutie? She was one of the first Sassy girls that I got; and finally getting to use her makes my heart sing with excitement!
My papers are from Fancy Pants Designs and I have used one of the more plain pages to the inside since my card base is black. The lace trim I got from my Mom; she has endless drawers of awesome things like that and I love going through it and asking for a bit from here and there. She loves having things that I can use and sharing with me.....so I think!
The ticket sentiment is a digi from Whimsy; I won a time back but cannot remember where for the life of me...hmmm anywho it comes in a set of 6 and you can find them here. I have printed it on my white cardstock and given it the DI treatment with wild honey.

TTT School Photos

Hello there! Yes I know I am always so surprised at how fast yet another Tuesday comes around. But this one is extra special; I have done my very first tutorial and you can check it out at Top Tip Tuesday. It is kinda of a double one; I have used designer paper to make flowers (the ones pictured below). So if you are interested in seeing how I have done these just hop on over to TTT. This tutorial is just perfect for the challenge of this week which is to use Designer Paper(you do not have to make the flowers) as long as you have DP in your project you can come and play along.
But WAIT; I still have to show you my project; I have decorated this mini album using one of the zig-zag flowers and reading is fun! from Robyn's Fetish.
Here is a bit of a side view; the pages are all in black and it has an insert with black picture corners. For some reason I keep on making projects and in thinking that I will be giving it to Franco's teacher.
I will leave you with this weeks sponsors. I really would love to see you come and play along with us this week; its a real easy one:0)
Robyn's Fetish is offering our lucky winner 4 stamps of their choice!
and
Simon Says Stamp is offering a $20 gift voucher to spend in their store!!

It's a MONSTER of a Hop!

Paper Makeup Stamps is having a MONSTER Blog Hop we have a ton of inspiration from the DT, and many guest also for a week you can stock up on your monsters with this 15% of coupon. Just use (MONSTERHOP) as your coupon code.!!! So make sure to head on over to Paper Makeup Stamps and stock up!

Here is my card for today's hop. I had so much fun making it. It is always harder for me to make boy cards cuz I cannot use flowers; specially for a 9 year old boy! SO I have gone a bit crazy with paper; and it is fun and bright! Just perfect for my cutie little monsters:0)
Here is my card opened up; I saw it on Splitcoaststampers and decided to add a little something to it. I think it is called a double Z card. I have trimed it slanted so that when you fold it up you can see the layers.
Here is the closeup of Dreck I just love how his horns are pointing in different directions and that great big eye is just way too cute! I have never thought that I would like the spots on these monsters so much...just think that they are the perfect touch to go with the long nails and scary teeth:0)

Here is a closeup of Argus with Teddy.  I don't know how Katie is even in business with having her stamps for so cheap; I am talking about good red rubber for less than $3....that is just crazy!
Oh and before I go; the sentiments that are accompanied each monster is also from PMS and you can find them as a set including others HERE. I know I keep on saying how reasonably priced PMS stamps are; but you really do need to check them out!

Hope you have made it to the end of this long post; PMS will have a challenge posted tomorrow so be sure to peek in to play along:0)

Here are the stops on the hop.....happy hoppin!

Teal Neveah with Candle

Wow Tuesday again; and not only that but October! Yikes before we know it 2011 will come to an end and we will be in 2012! Time sure does fly by when you are having fun:0) I have been having loads of fun with this weeks project. Before I show you my project I would like to show you this weeks challenge at Top Tip Tuesday....and it is a sketch! Here it is.
These are this weeks sponsors:
The Crafty Pad Designs
And a new Sponsor...

saturatedcanary.blogspot.com
saturatedcanarydigis.etsy.com
Okay so now Krista has been oh so generous and has given us our choice of a digi from her shop...and this cutie called out to me with her gorgeous hair and those sparkly eyes...

Here is a closer view of this super sweet lady! You can find Neveah along with other cuties at Saturated Canary Etsy shop HERE. I have colored her with Copics.

With the candle it was fun to color on the tissue paper; but boy oh boy is it different. I used much darker colors than on my image to get a closer match; but I think I should have gone yet a bit more darker. I also used some pearls and just pressed them into the wax; the flowers with the brads were also just pushed into the wax. Depending on who will get this gift I might add a name or a saying/poem to the candle.
Here is a collage where you can take a peek at the inside of the card and get a better look at the embellishments:0)
Hope that you have made it to the end of this super long post...and hope that you have liked my creation.
