A topper Card

Hello my Peeps! Today I want to share a super quick card that I made using the Mulberry Wood Card Kit for my Crafter's Companion weekly post.

I just love the shape of these toppers and the quality of them is superb! Making this card was so fun and easy. The toppers are pre-cut ready for you to pop them out and mount them onto your card. I also used one of the papers that come in the kit. This is heavy weight; high quality paper.

My card is very simple just adding a paper doily, some trim, and pearls. These toppers are awesome; just look at how beautiful the image looks with the foil border and swirls. The image is just so darn cute! One more Christmas card to the collection. It is almost time to start sending them out:0)

Here is an angle view of the card; you can see how the Foam Squares make the topper stand out a bit more.
Thanks for visiting and I wish everyone a crafty day!

Janette

B&W Pre-Colored Kenny K

Hello my Peeps!

Today I am here to share my project for our new Challenge over at Kenny K Krafty Krew

Our theme this week is:

Monochrome

I have taken the theme and applied it  to my image only:0)

I don't have a color printer at the time and so I was bummed because Kenny K has been adding to his awesome Pre-Colored collection; check it out HERE. So when this challenge came up; I thought it would be great to print the Pre-Colored images in B&W and boy oh boy did I like it! Hope you do too. Has all the shading in place and now can be used with any papers I fancy:0)

All I did was add a bit of color to Madison Attitude's cheeks, lips and eyes and viola! So I made 3!

Kenny is giving away rubber to some followers; be sure to visit the blog for more details.

Flowers on Wax!

Hello Lovely Crafters; it is SATURDAY and that means its time for me to post on the Crafter's Companion Blog. If you have not visited the site; I tell you there is daily inspiration, weekly prizes and tons of fun; definitely worth the visit.

I am super excited to share today's project because it is one of those that have been in my mind for some time and am so glad I have finally gotten it out!

SO; here it is:0) I have made a card and candle set. This is great for any occasions; Valentines, Birthday, Just Because, Anniversary, Teacher Gift... etc.

Here is a closeup of my candle with super sweet Humphrey-Flowers For You; I think he just might be my favorite! I have colored him on white tissue paper with my Spectrum Noir Markers and then melted him onto the candle.
A solo shot of the card:0)
Here is a close-up of Humphrey from my card.
And lastly a comparison of the two images.
Here is a TIP: When coloring on tissue  paper you must choose colors that are vibrant and a bit darker than what you want your end result to be. There is not much room for blending so no circle blending simply lay down your shading and then add your base color.

Here is a list of some of my colors used on my candle and card. Please note that I have tried to keep the images in the same tone so many of my colors have changed.

             Candle Colors                                                    Card Colors
Skin: BG3, BG2, BG1                                               BG2, BG1, Blender
Jeans: BT7, BT4                                                        BT5, BT2
Roses: DR3, CR6, PP3                                              DR1, CR4, PP1
Leafs: DG3, CG4                                                       DG3, CG4, *over with IG1

I would like to enter this set into the following challenges:
Thanks for stopping by; wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Unique, just like YOU!

Hello Lovely Crafters!

I am here today to share a few quick cards for my weekly Crafter's Companion post; this is just perfect for the holiday rush. I have used the super awesome Ornate Snowflakes  by Sheena; these are just so fun to work with. You get so many beautiful snowflakes plus a fabulous sentiment. This is one of those sets that you treasure forever and keep taking out during the winter season.

I have made 3 quick cards in different distressed ink pads; then simply added centers to the snowflakes to add a bit of dimension.

Thanks for stoping by today; hope you all have a fantastic weekend:0)

Janette
