Whimsy 24 Days of Christmas Event

Today is Day 13 of the 24 Days of Christmas! I have the privilege of being part of this super neat Christmas Event which is sponsored by Denise Lynn, the owner at Whimsy Stamps.  Here is view of the inside of the card. I have made two flaps that are glued down. The one on the right holding the hot chocolate package and the other just perfect for placing a gift card, money, or a sweet note. I have cut slits on the spine of the card so that I could pull the ribbon through securing the candy cane and adorning the outside of the card.

Silver Snowflakes Post-it Gift

Hello all; I want to share a great little stocking stuffer that I made for my Crafter's Companion weekly post; it is perfect for that last minute Christmas rush.

 I have used Ornate Snowflakes set and sentiment from Hello Rudolph-Humphrey collection. The cover was made with kraft cardstock fitted and scored to fit the 3x3 post it notes.

 Here you  can get a better look at the snowflakes stamped with Platinum ink and how I have added silver stickles to really make them shine.

A little washi tape some twine with tiny bells and my project was complete. This is a great gift for those office colleagues, teachers,  or friends. Who wouldn't want this sweet little gift?

A topper Card

Hello my Peeps! Today I want to share a super quick card that I made using the Mulberry Wood Card Kit for my Crafter's Companion weekly post.

I just love the shape of these toppers and the quality of them is superb! Making this card was so fun and easy. The toppers are pre-cut ready for you to pop them out and mount them onto your card. I also used one of the papers that come in the kit. This is heavy weight; high quality paper.

My card is very simple just adding a paper doily, some trim, and pearls. These toppers are awesome; just look at how beautiful the image looks with the foil border and swirls. The image is just so darn cute! One more Christmas card to the collection. It is almost time to start sending them out:0)

Unique, just like YOU!

Hello Lovely Crafters!

I am here today to share a few quick cards for my weekly Crafter's Companion post; this is just perfect for the holiday rush. I have used the super awesome Ornate Snowflakes  by Sheena; these are just so fun to work with. You get so many beautiful snowflakes plus a fabulous sentiment. This is one of those sets that you treasure forever and keep taking out during the winter season.

I have made 3 quick cards in different distressed ink pads; then simply added centers to the snowflakes to add a bit of dimension.

Humphrey on Kraft

The weather is changing and the days are getting shorter; I am loving the cooler days.
Cold weather=more snuggle time, scarves, warm blankets and more coffee!

 I am so super excited to share today's project that I have made for Crafter's Companion because seriously I had a blast creating it and it is something that I had in mind for quite some time now. 

I am sharing a one layer card embossed and colored on kraft. So here it is...

 Here is a closer look at the image Hello Rudolph from the Humphrey Collection.

 Here you can see a little bit better the embossing and what a pretty texture it gives this card. This is the 6x6 Regal Frame.

 Here is a little tip for when coloring on kraft. Jot down color on a scrap piece  of your kraft to get a good idea of how your colors will show up. 

Here are a few things that I have noticed:

-Coloring on kraft is more forgiving; hence easier to blend and harder to see mistakes= more fun!

-Bright colors look best

- Color will bleed faster, so be sure to not put too much color down

-As the alcohol evaporates(ink dries) the colors will start to look brighter. It is like magic seeing those colors show through!

Mistletoe Mwah with Mula!

Hello All! Hope everyone is doing fantastic and is ready to see something cool; well I think it's cool anyway:0)

Today I am sharing a folded card that I have made into be a money/gift card holder for Inspirational Monday post for Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog.

Here is my finished card using one of the new Strawberry Kisses Christmas images. FYI they are super cute and for sale NOW at the Crafter's Companion Store. This set is called Mistletoe Mwah!

 Here is a closeup of the super sweet couple colored with Spectrum Noir Markers.

 And here is the inside of the card; I love the double sided paper and how fast and easy it was to make this card.

Okay so if you are wondering how I made this; I have taken pictures and will show you how I have made the base of this card:0) I have started with a 12x6 paper and scored at 3.5 and 7.5 inches in. So you will have a small, medium and large panel. I know WEIRD; but it works trust me!

 Then on the large panel I have used a border punch (LOVE this one) which then makes the middle and last panel the same size:0)

 I then fold the page inward. Here is a shot of the inside; I have used the lines in the paper to cut a diagonal piece. Then just glue the bottom of that part to keep the money from falling out.

So that is it for the base; I then wrapped a doily around it, popped up the image, added the banners and buttons and my card was complete with twine and a few pearls. Easy peasy I tell you!

Red Truck!

 Hello everyone! Hopefully everyone is doing great and having a break from the heat. Here in Bakersfield it has been below 100 degrees and that for us is just great. Yesterday there were some scattered showers which I just love because this means that fall and winter are just around the corner. Winter is my favorite season; so I am super happy to be sharing a Christmas card that I have made for my Crafter's Companion Informational Blog post.

I used a stamp from the Sheena Douglas Festive set called "Christmas is Coming" which is the perfect reminder that Christmas is on its way! This stamp will soon be released and available at the Crafter's Companion Store.

 Here is a closer view of the truck; I just had to color it red:0) I have used Spectrum Noir Markers
super fun and quick as this image doesn't have too much to color:0) I have used DR8, DR1, CR11.

Christmas Poppet Sneak

Hello Everyone; hope everyone has been doing FANTASTIC!

Today I am here to give you a peek at the new Paintbox Poppet Christmas collection from Crafter's Companion that will be coming out next week.

 Here is a closer look at this super sweet lady; she has been colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I often struggle with skin tones but am really happy on how her skin turned out with her rosy little cheeks:0) I have used FS3, EB1, and PP4, PP3 for the cheeks.

Christmas Cards in a Jiffy!

WOW this week has just flown by and so has the year....don't ya think?!? Well I am here to share a very productive project. I know Christmas comes so fast around that the last weeks before I am scrambling around to make those last minute cards.  With this project I have added 4 to the bin:0)

 These cards were so easy and fast to make; I think I will be doing a few more sets:0)

I have colored the gradient  background using Spectrum Noir Markers BT2, BT4, and  BT5 you can find a tutorial HERE on the Spectrum Noir Blog. After adding my images; I have matted it on a sparkle silver paper then on my card base. A few metallic dew drops and I was done! Seriously these cards were done in a jiffy!
