Little Birdie Told Me plus CHA

Today I want to share a couple of CAS Birthday cards that I made for
The Whimsy Stamps Challenge
It is the Rubber DT turn to showcase Whimsy Stamps following the challenge theme.

The topic this week is:
Ribbon and Lace

You don't even have to use a Whimsy image on your challenge creation to win the fabulous prizes. Just come on over and share your ribbon and lace project.

Here are my cards.

I am using  Little Birdie Told Me  by 2cute ink. And I have decided to make it on kraft. I just love coloring on kraft with my Copic markers. Both of the sentiments come with the stamp set and I think they are just so cute!

My embellishments have been kept to a minimal; but I will say that I LOVE the lace tape. It comes in a roll with adhesive already in place. Ready to cut and put down on your project. It is so easy and takes away the messy ordeal that can sometimes happen when trying to attach lace to any project. Check out this one(Lace Tape - Ivory No. 2) and other Lovely Tapes HERE.
***Plus they are discounted 25%! Oh man I just gotta stock up now!

On a different note; I AM GOING TO CHA! Ohhh my gosh! I am so excited. This will be my first time there and I will be in the Whimsy Booth; I am nervous and excited. I am not sure exactly what to expect but think it will be loads of fun and think that there will be lots to see.
If anyone has tips or recommendations please share. And if you are also attending don't forget to come and give us a visit:0)

Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsy Post- Seaside Dreamin'

Today I would like to share my post for the Whimsy Blog here; I am showing a card that I made for Whimsy Magazine # 12. I was pleased at the outcome of this card. I can say that this is one of my favorite colors ever!

Here is a closer look at Little Jack and Bobbin Seaside Dreamin' If you are interested in colors used please refer to pg. 5 of the magazine here. Also used Friends and Family Mini Postage Stamps; I have added some color to the postage with my Copic markers!
I also wanted to share how I have done the background using Wave Border Die.
I have first airbrushed the clouds with Bev Rochester cloud template. Next I have run this cardstock 3 times through my cutting matchine each time moving the wave die. I have left the paper attached at the ends; but you can cut across and then just piece the parts together.
Next I have added score tape to adhere between waves and dimensional squares on the waves so that they can pop out.
Here is my card base completed before adding my image.
Hope this mini tutorial has made sense.

Thanks for stopping by!
