Diaper Cake

I haven't posted in what seems ages; but you know how life sometimes gets in the way of blogging. So today I would like to share a diaper cake that I have made for my Cousin and his Girlfriend. I have kept the cake very, very simple. I had envisioned in my head adding a ton of socks/rose buds, baby items, and wrapping the tiers with blankets...but I didn't buy them so....couldn't do much there. Instead I have made a tag to go with it.
Here is a closeup of my tag; Oh I just love this image of Baby Tilda; ain't she just such a cutie!?! I have colored her with my Copics and added a touch of stitching, some ribbon and a few pearls. I have gone very pastel on the clothes and now wish I would of done her hair lighter. Oh well; maybe next time:0)
Copics Used: Clothes:V25,20 Shoes: 42,40 Hair: E27,25,33 Skin: E11,00,000 Blush: R20

I would like to enter into the following Challenges:
TOMIC: Stitching
Copic Creations: Pastels
Outlawz Copic: Anything Goes
icopic: Anything but a Card

Hope you like my creation;

Distress Inks Color Chart

Alrighty; so I have slowly been building up my collection of the Tim Holtz Distress Inks...okay I just got my package with what I thought would be my last 11. I now see that I had missed ordering Dried Marigold...oh well.  I have been wanting to try the DI coloring but have decided to hold off until I had all of them, because there is nothing I hate more than not having a color I wanted to try. So here is a chart that I colored first stamping a corner of the pad, then adding some with a water brush. I am so glad that I did this because some of the colors are just way pretty with the water. I think my favorite is the pine needles and I would of never known! You can find this chart HERE. You can also check out other charts that they have available for download here.
Here is a little peek at my tiny space where I do my Copic coloring. My hubby put this shelf with double row for ribbon spools, but that was before I had made my Copic cubbie. Now I think I will be taking that down to make room for my DI :0) Oh and I need to label the DI before I get to do any coloring. Now off to check out some tutorials and doing some research on papers and inks...cuz I know very little!

Be on the lookout for my DI coloring...hehehe!

Janette

Summer Picnic

Hello All; today I would like to share this card that I made. Just to play along some challenges. The stamp is from Paper Makeup Stamps it is called Picnic Duo and you can find it HERE. PMS has a big inventory reduction section and you can find this cute little stamp in that section for way too cheap! Where else can you get a deeply etched red rubber stamp for less than $3(unmounted)? They are originally fairies but I have cut them off since it was way easier to cut out without the swirls of the wings. I do like the look of them this way too. I have made a little picnic blanket for them out of DP and then just outlined it and added a tiny bit of shadows. My ticket sentiment is from Marion at When the Scrap Hits the Fun! you can find it as a freebie HERE. I have inked the edges and colored the ticket with my Copics; even the little bird got some color:0)
Here is a bit of a slanted view and you can see that I have done the inside panel with the same papers as the outside. Something that I see so many ladies do; I just thought it would be great to use up more of the scraps instead of stuffing my scraps drawer.
I would like to enter this card in the following Challenges:
Color Me Creative: Copics Challenge- Red, Aqua, Cream/White
Simon Says Stamp and Show... - Anything goes
Corrosive Challenges - all about Kids
Make it colorful - Colour Your Own Embellishments
Fussy and Fancy - summer

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have an awesome day!

Simply Sassy DT Call!

Okay so; Maria is having a GDT call for Simply Sassy! Yes I know; the Sassies are such cuties and I love them so, so much! It would be such an honor to be part of the Sassy ladies that I must give this a try. So wish me luck :0)  And if you would like a shot at the Guest DT spot check out all the details HERE.

I am not sure what my style would be called but I do like to add ribbon, buttons, flowers and either pearls, bling, or dew drops on all of my cards. I must admit that I do love trying new things. The first two cards are ones that I have posted prior; and the third is something new just for the DT call.

Pillow Talk is my absolute favorite Sassy; just look at her...oh way too cute n SASSY! I love coloring her hair and those big eyes are just FAB! This image makes me think of slumber parties and even I never got a chance to stay over any friends house; I can tell you there were many time my friends and I just hung out on our beds doing the girl talk.
Here is a closeup; I love using my nesties and having her foot and hand stick out a bit; here only her foot is sticking out. And my coloring medium of choice are Copics :0)
This card is a napkin fold card; so my Sassy is on the belly band and when you remove the belly band it open up to reveal all of that DP and center to write your note. I saw this tutorial on the SCS website and just had to try it; so fun and easy! I have decided to keep this card with little embellishments due to it being so busy with that border punch, busy DP, and all of those folds.

Thanks for taking a peek at my work; and good luck to all the ladies going for the DT spot.

I would like to enter this last card into the following Challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - a Surprise element

Totally Gorjuss -  #90 Punch or Die Cut

My Mum's Craft shop - #14 for a teen

100% Boy

Today I would like to share this side step card. I know I said that it would be a while before I did another and now this is my third, even if my measurements are not perfect I have just winged it and they have turned out just fine. I was very pleased with the turnout of this card. I have put Edwin mounted on to this barrel and then added the ship that came on the DP on the very last step. I have been trying very hard to leave more white space on my coloring and I think that is one of my favortie things to do with the copics; that you can always take color away by using the colorless blender.
Here is a side view of the card ou can see how the clouds are on dimensionals. And look at that golden button; just perfect for this card; found it in my stash :0)
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Magnolia Down Under -Create a Scene

Okay so not only do they have such an amazing assortment of great products but they are super speedy with their shipping. An A++ for them.
So my pictures don't match  I took one picture outside and the other is indoors. On this second one you can get a better look on that side step. I have colored my images with Copics; too many to mention; but my grass I am so proud of. I made an outline with my multi-liner and then colored it the same as the stamped grass with clouds. Here is a closeup of  Birthday Fairy you can find her HERE! I just love that big mouth and those cute high heels. Yeah; I guess you can wear them if you wont be walking on them! I have some shoes that way; the kind you wish you could just float around in :0) My sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays.
You can find my Copic colors at the bottom.
My Tip for this week for TTT is to use multiple colors of your stickles to create a shadow within your sparkle; I have used Baby Blue and Star Dust. (The picture doesn't show how much it really sparkles)
This is the inside of my card, decorated it using scap papers and ric rac ribbon (since it was very flimsy and with a dark interior).
.

My second assignment is one I am very happy and honored to be part of....My very first Guest Designer spot. It is for Scrapmaster's Paradise Challenge  and here is the Combo for this week.

So here is my card! Oh I am getting totally addicted to doing the rouching ribbon, I just want to do it all the time; it is so fun and easy and it gives such a dramatic effect. Loving it!
Here is a closeup of Jill Fairy; isn't she so adorable? I think so; she is so super cute and comes with the Birthday Fishes sentiments and you can find her HERE she is available in both digi and rubber form. I have colored her with my Copic markers and done the background clouds with my airbrush system. I love how detailed PMS stamps are and how fun and easy they are to color. Plus they are super affordable; I am so glad that I found this company! If you go through our July 7th Blog Hop collecting the letters form each blog will give you a phrase good for 15% off the new stamps  you have until July 14th to complete the hop.    Also there are two Makeover Challenges for more prizes up for grabs HERE!
