Hello All! It is Tuesday again! We all know what that means...yup a new challenge up at
Top Tip Tuesday! Might not be the first thought that come to your mind but it is for me:0) It is my turn to be host and we would like to Challenge you to: Dig out the Old - Use something older than 6 months and name it.
I will also be sharing a quick and easy way to create an envelope without using any special tools or supplies!
The best thing is that it ties right into our current challenge. Now I know that we all have that stack of OLD designer paper; I am talking about the thin older paper that we don't really want to use for our cards anymore but cannot throw away!
I have used a 12x12 DP and some glue and tape.
First you will want to protect your card either with tissue paper, or bubble wrap. Next place your card in the center of your DP in a slant. You want to have triangles on all sides of your card. the size doesn't need to be perfect as long as your paper overlaps. I am using a 12x12 paper for my 6x5.5 card.
Fold the bottom tip of the paper trying to hit the center of the card. You may want to use a bone folder to make a crisper fold.
Next fold in the two sides. again just eyeballing it. I like to add adhesive to to the flaps and securing it down.
Last fold the top flap and secure it with adhesive or tape.
TIP: If your paper is thick you can cut out the parts were the paper is overlapping like the corners. If you open up your folded paper it is clear where you can cut away.
Note: This envelope is not perfect but it works great and I love using up my old DP! This is def not for a perfectionist:O)
Hope it is helpful to you!
Now I will show you a bit more of my card:
I will say that everything in this card is more than 6 months old! Wow time does fly! The oldest supply is the paper.
Closer look at Edwin; I have colored him with a combination of Copics and PrismaColor Pencils.
Here is the inside:
Now last but def not least; our sponsors for this callenge are:
